PESHAWAR: Twenty-five Chinese worl(ers and technicians, constructing the Karal(0ram Highway, were killed and 22 others sustained injuries in a landslide near Komila, on the [KKH] yesterday. Official reports today [Oct 12] said the landslide had overtaken the Chinese team, while blasting was being carried out in the mountains for the construction of the highway. A group of 25 Chinese worl(ers and technicians was buried alive under the landslide. Sixteen bodies have so far been dug out. Rescue operations are continuing... . The condition of 5 injured was stated to be serious.
