Nadra official killed in attack on car

CHARSADDA: An official of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) was killed when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on a car he along with two colleagues was on board in Shabqadar area here on Saturday. The other two officials remained unhurt.
According to police, three Nadra officials, including Daud Jan, Habibullah and Mohammad Ayub, were going home in a car after office time when two motorcyclists opened fire on their car. As a result, Daud Jan was critically injured. The motorcyclists escaped after the incident.
The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Shabqadar police registered a case against unidentified attackers and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed and her two sons sustained injuries when armed men entered their house and opened fire on the inmates in Chitral Koroona area on Saturday.
The police registered a case on the complaint of injured Masood against six accused, including Bashir Khan, Naseer, Rafiq, Shabbir, Qadeer and Wakeel.
Masood told the police the accused barged into their house and opened fire on them. As a result, his mother was killed instantly, while he and his brother, Wajid, received injuries.
The police started investigation after lodging the case.
