LAHORE: A sessions court on Monday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar in a case of alleged online harassment to actor Momina Iqbal.
Accompanied by his lawyers, MPA Chadhar appeared before the court on expiry of his bail period.
The investigating officer (IO) of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) sought more time to complete the investigation.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqi extended the bail of the MPA till July 28 and directed the IO to submit a progress report on the next hearing.
The judge also extended the pre-arrest bail of the MPA’s wife in the same case.
The NCCIA had registered a case against Chadhar and his wife on a complaint filed by Momina Iqbal.
In apprehension of their arrest, the couple had earlier secured the pre-arrest bail from the court.
