RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi district administration and district coordination officer (DCO), Talat Mehmood Gondal, imposed CrPC section 144 on hawkers and cart pushers for a period of two days, within the revenue limits of the Murree tehsil.

Mr Gondal said that it had been observed that during the peak tourist season, i.e. August 14, hawkers and cart pushers misguided tourists in various parts of Murree, and caused inconveniences to the flow of traffic.

He said they had been banned from operating for two days at GPO Chowk, Kashmir Point, Marhaba Chowk, View Forth Chowk, Jheka Galli and Kuldana Chowk in Murree.

The order will be in effect for a period of two days, from August 13 to August 14, and violation of the order is punishable under PPC section 188.
