KA RACHI: Shia leaders have announced a shroud rally at CM House against `illegal` FIRs which Sindh police registered against mourners for participating in Arbaeen mourning processions.
Earlier, Shia Islamic parties`leaders had given a 48-hour deadline to the Sindh government that expired today, says a press release.
Allama Baqir Zaidi, Allama Shabbir Maisami, Allama Nazir Tagvi, Allama Ageel Moosa, Allama Asghar Shaheedi, Allama Kamran Abidi, Allama Haider Abbas, Allama Mubashir, Mohammad Abbas and other leaders met in Karachi to discuss future course of action.
In their meeting, they decided to observe Friday as a day of protest.
They also announced that if the government and police don`t withdraw `illegal` FIRs, they would take out a rally in which Islamic scholars and notables would shroud themselves.
They said their rally would surround CM House on Oct 18 if `legitimate` demands are not met.
