KARACHI: The City Courts wore a deserted look on Monday as lawyers continued to boycott court proceedings in protest over registration of a case under the antiterrorism law against their colleague.
Advocate Salman Naeem was booked by the City Courts police for allegedly physically maltreating a judicial officer on a complaint of Judicial Magistrate/Civil Judge Imam Zaidi.
The KBA also announced a rally to be taken from the City Courts to the Sindh High Court in protest over the registration of the case.
Meanwhile, a delegation of lawyers` bodies, including Pakistan Bar Council, Sindh High Court Bar Association and Karachi Bar Association, held a meeting with SHC Chief Justice Faisal Arab and discussed the matter with him.
