L AHORE: Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Arif Saeed has been elected to the Executive Board of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) as regional representative for Asia and Europe for the 2026-29 term.
According to a press release issued by the POA, the election was held during the 15th ISSA General Assembly in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
The ISSA General Assembly comprises representatives of 57 member National Olympic Committees.
The POA said Arif’s election would provide an opportunity to contribute to athlete development and welfare, strengthen cooperation among member Olympic committees and support the development of sport across the ISSA membership.
Arif is also president of the South Asian Olympic Council.-Sports Reporter
