PESHAWAR: Afshan Khan, Hooria Khan and Tajallah Khalid were elected unopposed as the president, senior vice-president and vicepresident, respectively, of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peshawar (WCCIP) for the 2026-28 session.
Earlier, a three-member election commission, comprising Shahida Mazhar, Furrukh Naz and Tania Bashir, met at the chamber and scrutinised the nomination papers, according to a statement issued here onMonday.
No one submitted nomination papers against the Businessman Forumnominated candidates for WCCIP vacant seats of president, senior vicepresident and vice-president, according to the election commission.
Therefore, it said Afshan Khan was elected unopposed as WCCIP president, Hooria Khan senior-vice president and Tajallah Khalid as vicepresident.
The WCCIP annual general meeting will be held on Sept 21.
The newly elected office-bearers will take charge of their offices on Oct 1.
