BAHAWALPUR: As many as 63 detained PTl activists belonging to Rahim Yar Khan were released after the deputy commissioner submitted in the Bahawalpur bench of the Lahore High Court that their detention orders were withdrawn by him.

This was stated by PTI`s lawyer Makhdum Kalimullah Hashmi and Bahawalpur High Court Bar Association Secretary General Chaudhry Saqib Tariq here on Wednesday.

Both counsels stated that the DC had detained a total of 67 people for 30 days. Out of them, the detention of 63 was challenged through filing of writ petitions in the LHC Bahawalpur bench.

After their detention petitions were heard by the Bahawalpur bench, the DC submitted that their detention orders had been withdrawn and they were released from jail.Correspondent
