`MQMLondon man` among seven held

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Monday claimed to have detained seven suspects, including one linked with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.

The paramilitary force carried out an action in a Nazimabad locality and apprehended M. Nawab, who was associated with the MQM-London, said a spokespersonfortheforce.

`The held suspect was involved in arms smuggling and other crimes,` claimed the officer.

Separately, the force`s personnel arrested two suspects, Abdul Hameed aka Sohail and Chakar, from the Malir City area. Linked with Lyari gang war elements, they were involved in robberies, drugs and other crimes.

The Rangers arrested two alleged extortionists, Irfan Yaqub and Asif Shah, from Sharea Faisal and Orangi Town, respectively.

The paramilitary force also claimed to have arrested two suspects, Muzzamil Ahmed and Nabeel Ahmed, who were involved in looting shops and people.

The held suspects were to be handed over to police for further legal action.
