CHITRAL: A heavy downpour on Friday evening triggered flash floods in the Shishi Koh Valley, particularly in the Sherati Gol and Astrom Gol areas of Lower Chitral, damaging roads and disrupting traffic.

Lower Chitral Deputy Commissioner Rao Mohammad Hashim Azeem told Dawn that the Drosh assistant commissioner and the executive engineer of thecommunication and works department were stuck in floods in the Sherati Gol area.

He said that the officials were returning after overseeing the clearance of roads in Madak Lasht to facilitate the movement of residents to Garam Chashma.

He stated that no casualties or destruction of houses were reported in the floods. Correspondent
