LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-Q on Wednesday held a joint parliamentary meeting and decided the strategy for the secretballot election of speaker and deputy speaker in Punjab Assembly.

The PTI in mutual agreement with the PML-Q has nominated Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as speaker`s candidate and SardarDost Muhammad Mazari (of PTI) from south Punjab for the deputy speaker`s slot.

`Over 180` MPAs participated in the meeting hosted by PTI`s nominated Punjab governor Chaudhry Sarwar at a local hotel.

PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi as well as Chaudhry Sarwar and Pervaiz Elahi briefed the MPAs about the speaker and deputy speaker election process.
