LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to provide hotel accommodation or travelling and daily allowances (TA/DA) to match officials assigned to the President’s Trophy Grade-II (Silver) tournament, which is scheduled to be played at various grounds from Sept 19 to Oct 18.
The PCB has informed referees, umpires and scorers through an email that ‘no hotel accommodation and TA/DA will be paid for this tournament’.
In the past, match officials were provided hotel accommodation, daily allowance and local travelling allowance in addition to their match fees.
Officials appointed for the Grade-II tournament will now receive only their match fees, which will be subject to income tax deductions, sources said.
The decision means officials travelling to venues outside their home cities will have to bear their accommodation and travelling expenses from their match fees.
The President’s Trophy Grade-II is the second tier of the PCB’s domestic first-class structure and features three-day matches.
