PESHAWAR: A polio booster campaign will be conducted in Peshawar and Khyber districts from October 26 to 31.

According to a statement issued by the office of the commissioner of Peshawar division, a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Captain (retd) Khalid Mahmood was held to discuss arrangements for the polio booster campaign, with representatives from relevant departments in attendance.

The meeting was informed that during the campaign eligible children rang-ing from four months to under 10 years of age will be administered an Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) using a needle-free jet injector. Vaccination will take place at EPI (Expanded Programme on Immunization) centres, outreach sites and schools.

The commissioner Peshawar division pledged full administrative support for the success of the campaign and directed the relevant departments to ensure effective coordination and the implementation of all necessary measures. APP
