LAHORE: The Punjab Police deployed 55,000 personnel to provide security to 1,581 gatherings, 2,467 processions and rallies on the Eid-i-Miladun Nabi across the province.

IGP Dr Usman Anwar chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office here on Monday and approved the security plan for the occasion. All regional and district police officers participated through a video link.

In Lahore, 255 processions and 225 Milad gatherings will take place regarding Eid Milad celebrations where more than 10,000 officers, personnel and volunteers will be on security duty. Staff Reporter
