KARACHI: The hot and humid weather prevailing in the city for the past three days turned pleasant after almost all parts of the metropolis received light rain on Wednesday evening.
A Met official said the rainfall was too light to be recorded at the department’s observatories, with only traces reported from different parts of the city.
He said the maximum temperature recorded in the city during the day was 36.8 degrees Celsius, while humidity remained at 67 per cent.
The rain came as the monsoon season formally ended, with the weather system making its final appearance in the city.
‘It is only the last spell of the monsoon and nothing more is expected, the Met official said.
