GWADAR: The family of slain schoolteacher Parvez Mazar and a large number of people staged a protest rally outside the Pasni Press Club, demanding the arrest of the suspects nominated in the FIR.

A large number of women and children also participated in the demonstration, carrying placards and photographs of the deceased schoolteacher.

According to family members, Parvez Mazar was allegedly abducted and tortured before being murdered.

Participants demanded that the suspects nominated in the FIR be handed over to police instead of being provided shelter. They demanded justice for the victim`s family. The protesters said that incidents of kidnapping, murder and bullet-riddled bodies were creating resentment against members of security forces and state institutions among the masses and the situation required immediate attention and an end to this state of insecurity and lawlessness in the province.
