`PML-N govt in Mansehra not in trouble`

2015-12-17
MANSEHRA: Federal minister for Hajj and interfaith harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousaf has claimed the PML-N-led district government in Mansehra is not in trouble and will complete its term in office.

He also said the ruling party would get the budget for the ongoing fiscal passed by the district council easily and without compromising principles.

`I want to make it clear that our (PML-N) government in Mansehra is not in trouble in anyway and those making claims about it will see our majority in the house themselves during the budget session,` the minister told a public meeting in Oghi on Wednesday.

Noted among those in attendance were MPAs Salah Mohammad Khan, Mian Ziaur Rehman and Mohammad Ibrar, district nazim Said Ghulam, naib nazim Ghulam Murtaza Tanoli and former MNA Laig Mohammad Khan.

The minister said the PML-N continued to enjoy support of allies in Mansehra and that the ruling coalition was in a comfortable position to ensure the smooth passage of the budget from the district council and complete the term.

He said the PTI had lost popularity in the province and that was evident from the local body elections during which Imran Khan`s party didn`t secure even half of the district wards and unions.

The minister said he reiterated his party`s promise that the natural gas would be supplied first to Oghi and then to Balakot and Gari Habibullah.

He said the prime minister would soon inaugurate work on the second phase of Hazara motorway to ensure prosperity and development in the region.

District nazim Said Ghulam insisted the district council would easily pass the budget on Dec 21.

`I don`t make tall claims.

Only the time will show how easily the budget is passed in the house,` he said.

The nazim said Sheryar Khan, the son of Laig Mohammad Khan, would secure the district council seat from Khattai in the Jan 23 byelections. Correspondent
