LAHORE: Four matches were held on the first day of the Patron`s Aibak Polo Cup here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.

In the first match, Diamond Paints defeated Newage Cables 8-6.

In other matches of the day, Master Paints beat PAF 4-2, Rijas/Master Paints edged out Master Paints 4-3 while Rijas/Master Paints outclassed PAF 7-2.

Ten teams are participating in the tournament are divided into two groups. Group `A` consists of Diamond Paints, Newage Cables, PAF, Rijas/ Master Paints, and Master Paints while Group `B` comprises Army, IS/SQ/Platinum, PB, FG/Din, and BN Polo.

The competition has attracted top-tier players from hosts Pakistan, UK, Iran and Argentina.
