TIMERGARA: Scores of workers of Jamaat-i-Islami and Awami National Party at Dodh Khana Khall village announced to quit their parties and join Pakistan Peoples Party.
They made the announcement during a function held at DodhKhanaKhallwithformer MPA Mohammad Zamin in the chair. Several political workers, including Saeedullah, Bacha, Sar Buland, Naseeb Khan, Gul Rehman and others, joined the PPP.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Zamin said that people were looking towards PPP as the ruling PML-N at the center and PTI and JI in the province had disappointed them. He said that PPP would again rule the country after 2018 general election.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-iIslami lawmakers here admitted that all politicians during their tenure had played vital role in development of the district.
They were speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the district press club, Timergara, on Saturday wherein minister for finance Muzaffar Said was the chief guest. The function was addressed by Mr Said, MPA Izazul Mulk, press club president Ismail Anjum and others. -Correspondent
