KARACHI: Three men were shot at and wounded by armed muggers over resistance in separate incidents in the city on Sunday.

Police said that armed robbers fired at Sadiq Noor, 26, when he put up resistance to their robbery bid near main Qasba Mor near Dua Shinwari Restaurant within the jurisdiction of the Pirabad police station. He was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

In Korangi, a 60-year-old man, identified as Abdul Aziz, was shot and wounded by armed bandits as he offered resistance. He was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

In the third incident in Manghopir, Ayaz Shabbir, 25, was shot and injured when he resisted a robbery attempt on Northern Bypass near Dua Restaurant. Area people rushed to the scene and shifted him to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.—Staff Reporter
