RAWALPINDI: A two-day training workshop on the prevention of irregularities during elections, checks, and legal proceedings for the police officers who would be deployed on Feb 8 for election duty started here in the Police Lines Headquarters on Friday.

The training workshop, under the chairmanship of District Election Commissioner Roy Sultan Bhatti, started at Police Lines Headquarters. Additional Director Training, Additional Director Election Commission, and Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP SecurityTahir Sikandar were also present in the workshop. The officers who received training were from all the districts in the Rawalpindi range.

Training is being provided to master trainers in the two-day workshop, as the master trainers will later be able to provide training to other police officers in the workshop on prevention of irregularities during elections, checks, and legal proceedings.

The District Election Commissioner, Rawalpindi, gave a lecture on the code of conduct for the election.-Staff Reporter
