ISLAMABAD: A Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) team busted a gang involved in robberies, police said here on Friday.
A team raided an area in GhauriTown and arrested five alleged robbers. Five 30-bore pistols, ammunition and a motorbike were also recovered from them. During preliminary investigation, the robbers confessed to having robbed Rs3.2 million from a bank in Rawat on February 10.
On January 20, the gang membershad snatched cash from Shabbir Ahmed when he was heading home after drawing money from a bank in I-10 Markaz.
They also robbed a shop in I-10 Markaz. In another incident, they had snatched Rs153,000 from Javed Khan on February 4 in I-10 Markaz.
