LAHORE: Four people, including two women and a child, were killed when a speeding bus collided with a motorcycle on Kabirwala Road in Khanewal district on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, the motorcyclist was carrying two women and a child when a speedingbus rammed into it near Adhiwala on Kabirwala Road. The emergency teams reached the site shortly after being alerted about the accident and shifted the bodies to the Khanewal DHQ Hospital.
The deceased were identified as three-year-old Aiman, 35-year-old Shamshad Mai, 37-year-old Hooran Mai and 55-year-old Zafar.
Police and Rescue officials said the accident occurred due to allegedoverspeeding and reckless driving by the bus driver.
DPO Muhammad Abid took notice of the incident and ordered to arrest the driver involved in the incident.
Saddar DSP Saeed Sial and Kohna Police reached the scene, collected evidence and recorded statements of eyewitnesses.
The Kohna Police station registered a case against the driver.
