Plea against PTI shutdown in Islamabad

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Thursday directed a petitioner to satisfy the court regarding the maintainability of his plea seeking to restrain Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan from shutting down Islamabad on Nov 2.

Headed by Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, a two-judge bench was hearing a petition of Barrister Ali Tahir against the proposed protest of the PTI in Islamabad. The judges aske d the petitioner to satisfy the court with regard to its jurisdiction to hear his constitutional petition involving the matter that fell within the ambit of the Islamabad High Court.

The bench adjourned the hearing to a date to be later pronounced by the court`s office after Barrister Tahir requested it to grant him time.
