PNSC profit rises to Rs2.3bn KARACHl: Pakistan National ShippingCorporation`s (PNSC) after-tax profit rose by around 10 per cent to Rs2.323 billion during the year ended on June 30, 2016 from Rs2.116bn a year ago, it announced on Wednesday.

The board of directors has approved the financial results of the corporation and declared a final cash dividend of 20pc (Rs2 per share) for the year under review. The maker of the iPhone is looking at a potential takeover of or investment in the British-based firm, which could be valued at up to 1.5 billion ($1.9bn), the newspaper said, citing three unnamed sources.

A spokesman for Apple said it would not comment on `rumours or speculation`, while McLaren did not immediately respond to a request for comment.-AFP
