LAHORE: A woman drowned her two children before attempting to commit suicide reportedly after a quarrel with her husband andin-laws.
Naheed of Salamatpura near Raiwind drowned her five-year-old daughter Mehroba and four-year-old son Ehtesham in a water tank before badly injuring herself early on Friday morning. She was shifted to the Raiwind Tehsil Headquarters hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.
SLAIN GIRL: The Ghalib Market police got access to the cell phone calls record of Hira, a teenage girl shot dead outside her Gurumangat Road house on Thursday, two days before her wedding.
Police said they had recorded statements of Hira`s family and other witnesses besides sending the evidence collected from the crime scene as well as her mobile phone to the forensic laboratory.
The girl was laid to rest in the nearby graveyard.
Police registered a case against two motorcyclists while a boy from the neighbourhood has been taken into custody on suspicion.
