BAJAUR: Residents of War Mamund tehsil on Wednesday expressed concern about the use of substandard material in a road scheme and called for an investigation.
Speaking to reporters, they claimed that the quality of work on KharkiAnga Road, being constructed by MPA Dr Hamidur Rehman, had been compromised.
The residents asked the MPA to take notice of their complaints.
They also demanded that the district administration and the localroads and highways department take action against theofficials supervising the project.
Meanwhile, in a statement, PTI MPA Dr Hamidur Rehman said that he had ordered the contractor to remove the substandard material with immediate effect and ensure quality of work.
He added that the substandard material would be replaced under the supervision of a team overseeing development projects.
He claimed that strict action would be taken against the contractorfor using low-quality material in road construction.
The MPA thanked the residents for raising the issue.
