KARAK: The people of Kamanger, Shaggi, Dabli Lawagher and adjoining areas have complained they face shortage of drinking water though Lawagher dam built on their lands supplies water to otherparts ofthe district.
They warned they would suspend water supply from the dam to other areas if their complaint was not addressed without delay.
The warning was issued during a meeting chaired by local elder Malil< Tahir Khan here. The participants complained water supply from the dam was denied to them but those living in other parts of the district were provided with the facility.
They said ironically, the government had planned to supply water to the vocational college and other localities of Takht-i-Nusrati tehsil from the dam.
The participants said they would not allow the public health engineering department to discriminate against them as they were the first to deserve water from the dam built on their lands.
