Liaquat challenges Zardari, Bilawal

By Our Correspondent 2018-04-25
DA DU: Pakistan Tehreeki-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Sindh chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi has claimed that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has lost ground in Sindh due to wrong policies of its top leadership.

He challenged PPP chairman Bilawal Bhut to-Zardari and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to contest election from Dadu district in the general election of 2018.

He said the PPP had lost its base and vote bank in Dadu and other parts of Sindh due to their wrong policies and corruption.

He was addressing a public gathering at Faridabad town, some 72km from Dadu city, on Tuesday.

Around 1,000 people of different tribes left the PPP and joined the PTI on the occasion.

He claimed that Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were not able to decide as to who would be the candidate for the premiership in the next general elections. However, both were ready for the slot, but they would be defeated, he said. He said the PPP had done nothing in the past 10 years of their rule in Sindh.

But people would hold them accountable very soon, he added.
