LAHORE: An elderly couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Baghbanpura on Monday.

Abdul Latif (75) and his wife Abida Begum (70) were found dead in the upper portion of their house where they had been living along with their nephew for the last 12 years.

A police official said the body of Latif had some burn marks when the police officials visited the crime scene along with the forensic experts.

The bodies were shifted to the morgue for a post-mortem.

In another incident that took place near Thokar Niaz Baig, a man allegedly shot dead a rickshaw driver in the name of honour.

The police said the suspect, Abdullah, was also a rickshaw driver and he allegedly killed Arslan Shah for developing illicit relations with his wife.

The police shifted the body to the morgue for a post-mortem.
