KARACHI: A blistering half-century from Ali Merchant inspired Larosh CC to a crushing 147-run victory over Delhi City Gymkhana in their Federal Sports Trophy Cricket League fixture here the other day.
Ali blasted 62 off just 24 balls with aid of nine boundaries and three sixes as Larosh CC reached 286 in 39 overs at the TMC Ground. Mohammad Din (69 off 68 balls, four fours and two sixes) and Nadeem Rao (58, five fours) also made invaluable contributions.
Delhi City Gymkhana, in reply, mustered 139 all out in 22.2 overs with Ali starring with the ball as well with three wickets for 25 runs.
In another match at the KCCA Stadium, Federal Sports beat Samanabad Gymkhana by eight wickets.
