LAHORE: Cantonment division police took 15 people into custody during a door-to-door search operation in different localities in and around Allama Iqbal International Airport late on Monday.

The search operation begun after 9pm was launched in and around the airport, Gushan Ali Colony, Ali Park and Nadirabad.

Up to 120 constables and 10 subinspectors took part in the operation aimed at checking suspicious people to thwart terrorist attacks.

According to a Lahore police spokesman, door-to-door search operations are being conducted across the city on the special directive of Capital City Police Officer Chauhdry Shafique.
