LAHORE: Two persons were killed and a woman was injured over a land dispute in Shahdara on Monday.

According to police, Ali Raza, Dilawar and Nagina Bibi were involved in a long-standing land dispute with their relatives Shahid and 10 others.

On Monday, victims were plucking flowers on their land, when the suspects, armed with rifles and Kalashnikovs, opened fire on them and fled.

Ali and Dilawar succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, while Nagina remains in a critical condition. The police registered a case against 11 suspects, including Shahid and his accomplices, on a complaint by Nagina`s husband Sabir.

The police are conducting raids to arrestthe suspects.
