WANA: Two local leaders of the Awami National Party (ANP) were arrested on Thurdsay for allegedly violating Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

According to officials, ANP Wana chapter general secretary Yasin Khan and Shakai area president Amir Hamza were detained during a raid on an election office of their party in Wana, district headquarters of South Waziristan tribal district.

The ANP leaders would be presented before a court in adjacent Tank district on Friday, they said.—Correspondent
