GUJRAT: A 60-year-old trader of Mandi Bahauddin city was allegedly shot dead by his own son over a family property dispute in the Ward Number 5 locality of Mandi Bahauddin City police precincts.
Complainant Sarwat Jabeen said in her complaint to the City police that she along with her daughter had gone to her parent’s house on Sept 24, whereas her husband Rasheed Ghauri remained in their home.
She said that on Sept 26, her son Haseeb Ghauri told her that a firing incident had happened and she was informed by her husband’s first cousinover the phone that her husband had been shot dead.
The woman told the police that she suspected that her son Haseeb had killed his father as he was also presentin the house, whereas her husband slept in a room on the first noorofthe house.
Police have registered a case on her complaint and started investigations.
Rescue and police officials reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the Mandi Bahauddin DHQ Hospital, where doctors conducted an autopsy andhandedoverthebody to the heirs.
The Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) had also collected evidence from the crime scene.
