Youth dies doing a wheelie

LAHORE: Four motorcyclists were killed and two others injured in multiple road accidents reported in Lahore, Multan, Layyah and Khanewal districts on Saturday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.
In Lahore, a 25-year-old unidentified motorcyclist died after his speeding motorcycle crashed into an electric pole in Harbanspura on Canal Road late on Friday night.
Rescue 1122 said eyewitnesses claimed the youth was doing a wheelie before losing control of the motorcycle. The body was handed over to police for identification and further legal proceedings.
In another accident in Lahore, a 30-year-old man, identified as Hassan, son of Mahmood, was killed near Khyber Hotel in Sagian when a speeding tractor-trolley ran over his motorcycle.Muhammad Bilal, (55) was killed by a bus near the DHA Gate on Khanewal Road.
In Layyah, Muhammad Altaf, 48, a resident of Chak 229-TDA, Fatehpur, was killed after a passenger bus collided with his motorcycle at 229-Wala Mor on the MM Road.
Rescue 1122 said the biker suffered severe head injuries and died before getting any medical assistance. The body was shifted to the THQ Hospital, Fatehpur.
Meanwhile, two men were injured in a collision between two motorcycles near Kasowal in Mian Channu, Khanewal district. — Staff Reporter
