TAXILA: Three passengers were killed and 13 injured when a speeding driver lost control of his van and drove it over a bridge on G.T. Road near Sangjani.

The National Highway and Motorway DSP Nasir Hayat told Dawn that the van was heading for Haripur from Rawalpindi.

Passengers were trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued by cutting into the van.

The injured passengers were taken to different hospitals in Taxila, Wah and Islamabad.

Two of the dead passengers have been identified as Tour Gull and Gulistan Ali while a woman has not been identified.

The police have registered a case and have started i n v e s t i g a t i o n s . Correspondent
