SIALKOT: A Pakistani prisoner who was allegedly tortured to death by Indian jail authorities was buried at his native Kot Kalaal village of Pasrur tehsil on Sunday.

Muhammad Ashraf (55) had been languishing in a jail in occupied Jammu and Kashmir for the last several years after being arrested for illegally crossing into Indian territory.

He was allegedly tortured to death by Indian jail authorities. Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over Ashraf’s body to the Punjab Rangers at Wahga for burial at his native place.

The Rangers shifted the body to Pasrur village for its burial. A large number of people from all walks of life attended his funeral prayers.
