KARACHI: A sessions court sentenced on Wednesday a policeman to life imprisonment for killing his colleague.

Police constable Ghulam Qadir was found guilty of killing constable Fahim Akhtar over a trivial dis-pute in March 2012 within the limits of Preedy police station.

The additional district and sessions judge (South) Shazia Asif, who conducted the trial, also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 and in case of default the convict would have to undergo an additional two years in prison.
