OKARA: A female student who had suffered burns in her college bonfire a fortnight ago succumbed to her injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here on Sunday.

A local private college on the National Highway had held a female funfair.

The students wereengulfed in the fire and eight of them were badly burnt.

Abida Nasrullah, 20, of Chak 23/2-L, was one of those injured. A student of I.Com, she had received serious burns and was referred from the DHQ Hospital to the burnt unit of the CMH Okara Cantt.

She remained under treatment for a fortnight but succumbed to burns on Sunday.
