`Boom Boom` Misbah

2014-11-07
T HER E will be haters, there will be doubters, there will be non-believers, and then there will be you, proving them wrong.Anonymous.

It is a talent to bear all that criticism but continuing with consistency while proving the critics wrong is an art. Misbah-ul-Haq did just that as he smashed a recordequalling century off 56 balls in the second Test against Australia, silencing all critics.

Even his teammate, Younis Khan, 36, did the same, after he was axed from the one-day squad, making two centuries and a double century against the Aussies in three innings, proving his worth.

Misbah and Younis should be role models for Pakistani youth.

In the recently-concluded fitness test in Lahore, both were proved fit while being the oldest of the ones to be tested. They have reached their careers` twilight but still continue steamrolling on.

In my opinion, Misbah should remain captain till the World Cup 2015 and even after because this is what Pakistan needs, a settled and patient captain, one like Misbah.

They called him `Tuk Tuk` Misbah but I can now guarantee that Misbah has a new nickname in the streets of Pakistan `Boom Boom` Misbah.
