KOHAT: The police on Tuesday averted a sabotage attempt and arrested a terrorist with explosives and batteries near Surgul here.

The accused was arrested on Kamardhand road in the jurisdiction of Jarma police and shifted him to unknown place for interrogation.

The police registered case against the terrorist and began efforts to arrest his fleeing accomplice.

The explosive material weighed 26 kilograms, 19 meters of detonator cord, 13 meters of safety fuses, 16 remote receivers, nine batteries, three Kalashnikov chargers and a 30-bore pistol from the accused named Rab Nawaz, resident of Suleman Talab area of Kohat. Correspondent
