LAKKI MARWAT: Lakki Marwat District Nazim Ishfaq Ahmad Khan Meenakhel has said his government plans to set up a centre for rehabilitation ofspecialpersons.

This he said while speaking at a function after distributing wheelchairs and tricycles among special persons here on Sunday. `The special persons are not a burden on the society rather they should be provided with opportunities to play their role in the development process,` said Mr Meenakhel.

He said he would personally approach Saifullah brothers to con-vince them on extending cooperation for establishing a district disability rehabilitationcentre.

He said concrete steps had been taken during last two years to achieve the goal of bringing sustainable development. `Besides reducing power loadshedding and improving electricity voltage, the district government also got completed projects of provision of natural gas to parts of Lakki city and widening of urban portion of BannuMianwali road,` he added.

MAN KILLED: A man was killed and another sustained wounds whentwo groups clashed over a minor dispute in Kot Kashmir.

Police said on Sunday that Obaidullah and Fidaullah exchanged harsh words while they along with their relatives were taking bath in a canal. It led to trade of fire between both the sides, as a result Obaidullah died instantly while Fidaullah was wounded, they maintained.

The police arrested two nominated accused Aurangzeb from one side and Fidaullah (injured) from the other and registered separate cases against them.-Correspondent
