LAHORE: An allocation of Rs 2.05 billion as a special package for Balochistan has been reserved in the Punjab budget.

According to the budget papers, the Punjab government has allocated an amount of Rs1 billion for the establishment of Balochistan Institute of Cardiology at Balochistan while Rs750 million have been earmarked for education scholarship for talented students of Balochistan.

The Punjab government has also allocated an amount of Rs150 million for internship programme for Awaaran (Balochistan) earthquake affectees.

Punjab will also construct Kharan Technical Centre in Balochistan and an amount of Rs150 million has been allocated in the budget. APP
