LAHORE: PPP leader Manzoor Wattoo said on Thursday bad governance had been exposed after the remarks of the chief justice of Pakistan.

“There is no doubt after chief justice’s remarks that there is a kingdom in Pakistan,” Mr Wattoo told Dawn. “The Sharifs do not believe in democracy. They have established kingdom in the country but take cover under democracy whenever there is a threat to their government.”

He said 14 people were killed in Model Town and over 80 suffered bullet injuries at the hands of police but no one was punished. “In good governance such incidents do not take place and the culprits cannot manage to save their skin,” he said.

He added the PML-N had defamed democracy with its bad governance. “The government should better improve its working instead of shielding itself behind democracy,” Mr Wattoo said.
