BAHAWALPUR: As many as 14 people, including eight school boys and five girls, suffered injuries when three vehicles hit one another near Kahror Pucca Chowk in Dunyapur, Lodhran district, on Wednesday.

According to media coordinator Muhammad Safdar of Rescue 1122, there was a head-on collision between a wagon packed with school boys and girls and a mini-truck coming from the opposite direction while a car hit the van from its rear, injuring its occupants as well. The cause of the accident was stated to be speeding and poor visibility due to fog.

The rescuers rendered first aid and shifted Dilawar (5), Aqsa (6), Riffat (22), Iqra (9), Rabia (18), Hassan (5), Ahmad (4) Shahzaman (22), Kausar (18), Iffat (14), Mehwish (23), Manahil (9) and Dania (14) to Dunyapur THQ hospital. Doctors said the children are stable. Correspondent
