Six high-rises declared dangerous

SUKKUR: Six high-rise residential plazas situated at different localities of the city areas here have been declared unfit for living by the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA).
An SBCA meeting was held in regional office here on Tuesday. It was attended by its officials including Syed Ziaur Rehman and Muhammad Qasim.
The meeting was informed that there were reports that six high-rise residential buildings in Sukkur city, including Chohan Plaza, Shabbir Plaza, VIP Plaza, Dewan Plaza and Royal Plaza, were in dilapidated condition and not fit to be used for living.
Such buildings would be visited soon and vacated, it was added.
Occupants of the plazas would be served 14-day notice for vacation and utilities of such plazas, including water supply, electricity, telephone and Sui gas supply connections, would be cut off, the meeting was told.
