SUKKUR: A man shot dead his two nieces over suspicions they had brought bad name to family honour and wounded his own son for providing them a mobile phone, in Barkat Ali Jakhrani village, Jacobabad district, on Thursday.

Local police said the suspect Ali Nawaz Jakhrani killed his sister`s daughter Sajida, 26, wife of Aslam Jakhrani, and the brother`s daughter Shah Bibi, 36, wife of Abdul Ghaffar Jakhrani, with a double barreled gun.

They added that after kill-ing the women, the suspect wounded his own son Yar Mohammad Jakhrani for providing them a mobile phone.

`We rushed to the crime scene when we received information about the double murder, and shifted the bodies and the wounded youth to the Jacobabad Civil Hospital,` they said.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after conducting a post-mortem examination, they said.

Sources said that neither any case was registered at the area police station nor the assailant was arrested till filing of this report.
