Banda Daud Shah TMA workers without salary for six months

KARAK: The employees of Banda Daud Shah tehsil municipal administration have complained about not being paid salaries for last six months.
Speaking at a meeting on Tuesday, they pointed out that the TMA was facing funds shortage. They said they had not been paid salaries since the tehsil council was dissolved. They said for some time they were paid from the development budget, but now the TMA was running out of funds.
The TMA employees complained that they were unable to run their kitchen and pay school fee of their children, and demanded of the provincial government to provide special grant to the TMA, so it could pay them salaries.
Meanwhile, traders of Teri Bazaar have complained of heaps of garbage dotting the streets.
Talking to mediapersons on Tuesday, traders` body president Usman Jan asked the authorities to ensure lif ting of garbage without delay. He threatened that the traders would take to the streets if the streets were not cleaned within 24 hours.
ROAD SOUGHT: The residents of Koh-i-Maidan bordering the Punjab province have demanded construction of a road and provision of drinking water.
Speaking at a meeting on Tuesday, they said the area also had no electricity supply in the modern age. They said there was only one government boys` primary school, but it faced teachers` shortage, and demanded its upgradation to middle level. Correspondent
